OWS allowed to evoke their constitutional rights, AIG bailout grateful, Super Committee work together, First Amendment Rights protected?  FUGEDABOUTIT!!!

What does OWS, AIG, Super Committee, and the First Amendment Rights have in common? You can fugedaboutit making any sense when it comes to government actions with them all.

Where do you think you are, the United States of America? Ok so maybe you are in the United States of America but big government and big old 1%ers seem to think otherwise.

The United States now seems more like a strange alien world, none of us ever thought we would live in. Now we have super committees spending taxpayers' monies just to remain childish and refuse to come to an agreement, not even bothering to meet and try to discuss issues since November 1, 2011 even though they knew there was a November 23, 2011 deadline since it was a self imposed deadline. (read here)

IF the super committee wasn't enough to convince you we have entered an alien world  how about AIG? As many of us know (hopefully all of us) AIG was pegged as Too Big To Fail and received $180 billion of US taxpayers money, and to add insult to injury Ex-AIG CEO is suing the US over the constitutionality of that said $180 billion bailout, claiming the US violated the fifth amendment by taking property from shareholders (citizens) without just compensation. Of course no one at AIG was crying out against the people's constitutional rights being disregarded when they were receiving the bailout, but now some feel as though the way to correct government violation of the constitution is to sue the government for at least $25 billion, you know so the taxpayers get to pay even more out, that will teach the government.  (read more)

Still not convinced we live in a strange, injustice, scary alien world? Let's just look at OWS, people assembling peacefully to readdress their grievances to the government, isn't this a constitutional right protected by the US Constitution swore to be protected by the US government and all its branches?  Maybe I've misunderstood the first amendment all these years, maybe first amendment only applies in certain grievances, let me check that real quick, (just a few guys, checking the US Constitution).

I'm back, see I wasn't gone that long, was I? After reading the US Constitution especially first amendment I'm more confused, it seems the first amendment says,

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I see nothing that says only with a permit can people peacefully assemble or must be a group less than 35 people, or even that the government must agree with the people's grievances. Why are the occupiers being herded into police-made cages, being tear gassed, arrested, beaten? I need someone to explain to me why is the government and its long arm of the law disregarding the people's right to assemble peacefully?  Why are universities being allowed to attack students and others for evoking their constitutional rights? (read more, more, more, more, more, I think you get the jist)

Well the OWS are trying to drag the country into socialism some of you might say, although I disagree that is the fact, even if they were the First Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees them and all of us, the right to assemble peaceful.

To those of you that think the occupiers are trying to drag the great US into socialism I will say to you, that is a falsehood. They ARE trying to keep the banks and some corporations from dragging the country to fascism. They don't want corporations and banks to blend closely with the government so much they are actually writing the bills our congress signs into law. They are actually trying to STOP income redistribution. Something I would think anyone would agree with.

So you aren't feeling  the OWS and its movement, what about the press, do you think the first amendment that protects the press to report should be disregarded? In New York City there was a media blackout ordered by Mayor Bloomberg when he decided to to raid Zuccotti Park in the middle of the night (read more) and this is just one example of how the first amendment of the US Constitution is being disregarded as nothing more than a nuisance to big government and big corporations.

Yes I said it big government and big business are acting like the US Constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper that is a nuisance to their desires and should be thrown away. Is that the America so many fought for, spilled their blood for, and even died to protect?

So I ask you are we in a strange alien world where people are nothing more than pawns to be enslaved to corporations with the approval of the government? If we are in some strange alien world beamed there by unknown powers, we need to fight to get back to the home we all love, the home of freedom, a beacon of democracy for the entire planet to strive to achieve, a country we are once again proud to call home, don't you?
