I feel the need to speak out about something that has been bothering me for a quite while, some might say its semantics but I disagree. Even if what I'm about to speak out about is once was based solely on semantics, sadly it's not any longer. It has become more of an entitlement of power and leadership, the title President of the United States.

Somewhere along the way the President started being referred to as the Leader of the United States, Leader of the Free World then it grew to mean more than the cold war era meaning. All of a sudden the President of the US was the most powerful leader in the world, how did a servant to the people, the spokesperson of the people become the most awed, feared power in the world? An even better question is when did we; the people, start believing the President was our leader, how could any American citizen allowed that to happen?

What were we thinking to be a country that truly was for the people, where the people, all the people voices would be heard and listened to. Voices that sang of hope, freedoms, dreams, every country  desired to be as the US the country of milk and honey a place where anyone could speak their mind no matter if it was in agreement or disagreement and did not have to fear risking their freedoms or lives. A country that elected another citizen to be their collective voices, to speak and fight for what the people wanted.

The President of the United States was never to be 'the leader'  but the spokesperson of all the people, a servant to the people as  President Abraham Lincoln said in closing of the Gettysburg Address  "government of the people, by the people, for the people".  A leader is a leader rather they called themselves, Queen, King, or President and the United States was a nation formed by, of and for the people, a brand new idea, unheard of.

Is this the same great nation that was the champion of free speech, free press, free ideals, same country with 'Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free', that greeted so many  immigrant?  How did we become the country divided,  threats to limit speech, health care for profit, 20% of our children hungry, homelessness, one percent of the people calling the shots for the entirely of the nation?

As I have followed the Occupy Movement, watch and hear their GA (general assembles) I see what this nation used to be, a nation that everyone words were allowed to be said and heard, where a true vote was taken by the PEOPLE and decided by those votes and not the votes of some electoral college, but then the President of the United States became the 'leader'.

Do you really still think referring to the President as leader is nothing more than semantics?  Words are full of power and if you title someone as Queen, King do they not think they are 'above' the commoners, for they are after all 'leaders' to rule over the people.

As I gave more and more thought to the word leader and the power it held I finally understood what OWS meant with saying the movement has no leader, for we shouldn't have 'A leader' for this nation as the Occupy Movement for the 99% is chock full of leaders, each and everyone of us.

Perhaps our mainstream media, politicians, and yes even the president should  take this play out of  the Occupy Wall Street Movement book 'without a leader'. For if your nation is great with a leader we are a spectacular nation when we ALL are allowed to lead, not just the selective few.

As many might have noticed I've been paying a lot of attention to the Occupy Wall Street's Movement, at first I was thrilled to see so many unite of all ages, creeds, religions, etc to peacefully assemble to demand 'People First'. I cheered as people gathered together to occupy parks, demand answers, sharing and helping all that asked, but then...

I started to notice some things that made my heart drop, it seemed occupiers no longer had time to answer questions from the rest of the 99%, as more and more civilian reporters started using ustream and livestream to give all of the 99% eyes to see what was happening, to be able to witness and judge for themselves, it seemed that occupiers were becoming cliquish.

Since myself I felt akin to the movement and was in agreement with it I wanted to be sure I wasn't misinterpreting the lack of commutation that seem to be growing with the occupiers and rest of the 99%, so I started asking around.

Many people I asked in the various chat rooms and other media social outlets, were feeling the same. It used to be if someone asked how could they help, get involved, or what exactly was the motive for OWS there wasn't a lack of people that would try to assist you. If someone offered to help with webpage, twitter, etc, occupiers were yes, the more the merry, we must unite. Yet in the last couple of weeks many occupiers seemed to be growing more reclusive to those not 'on the battlefield' if you will.

There are still some that are happy to answer your questions, assist you with issues, but more and more seem to be pulling back, that is NOT a good thing. Many of the civilian reporters; even though giving out twitter info etc, no longer have the time to reply to their listening and watching audience.

Why is this happening, do they not realize how clannish they are becoming to outside views, with the mainstream media refusing to give fair coverage, police, senators, congressperson, and the rest of the 1% , openness is needed more than ever. For although I liken the occupiers 'in the battlefield' as the  same as the brave heroes that fought for women's suffrage, civil rights, end of the Vietnam War, it's hard for many others of the 99% not to feel dismissed, unheard and hurt. Isn't the Occupy Wall Street Movement for us all to be heard and addressed?

I implore all those on the ground, don't become like the 1% and ignore the cries of rest of the 99%, so many want to help, yet have no idea how to. Many of the 99% are single parents, elder, disabled, and in rural areas and cannot get to an occupy location and they want so much to help, be heard, noticed.

To the occupiers fighting the cold, injustice, brutality please unite with us, do not forget and leave us behind, becoming like the 1%, a secretive, elitist clique. The WORLD is depending on us all uniting please don't close us out.

OWS allowed to evoke their constitutional rights, AIG bailout grateful, Super Committee work together, First Amendment Rights protected?  FUGEDABOUTIT!!!

What does OWS, AIG, Super Committee, and the First Amendment Rights have in common? You can fugedaboutit making any sense when it comes to government actions with them all.

Where do you think you are, the United States of America? Ok so maybe you are in the United States of America but big government and big old 1%ers seem to think otherwise.

The United States now seems more like a strange alien world, none of us ever thought we would live in. Now we have super committees spending taxpayers' monies just to remain childish and refuse to come to an agreement, not even bothering to meet and try to discuss issues since November 1, 2011 even though they knew there was a November 23, 2011 deadline since it was a self imposed deadline. (read here)

IF the super committee wasn't enough to convince you we have entered an alien world  how about AIG? As many of us know (hopefully all of us) AIG was pegged as Too Big To Fail and received $180 billion of US taxpayers money, and to add insult to injury Ex-AIG CEO is suing the US over the constitutionality of that said $180 billion bailout, claiming the US violated the fifth amendment by taking property from shareholders (citizens) without just compensation. Of course no one at AIG was crying out against the people's constitutional rights being disregarded when they were receiving the bailout, but now some feel as though the way to correct government violation of the constitution is to sue the government for at least $25 billion, you know so the taxpayers get to pay even more out, that will teach the government.  (read more)

Still not convinced we live in a strange, injustice, scary alien world? Let's just look at OWS, people assembling peacefully to readdress their grievances to the government, isn't this a constitutional right protected by the US Constitution swore to be protected by the US government and all its branches?  Maybe I've misunderstood the first amendment all these years, maybe first amendment only applies in certain grievances, let me check that real quick, (just a few guys, checking the US Constitution).

I'm back, see I wasn't gone that long, was I? After reading the US Constitution especially first amendment I'm more confused, it seems the first amendment says,

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I see nothing that says only with a permit can people peacefully assemble or must be a group less than 35 people, or even that the government must agree with the people's grievances. Why are the occupiers being herded into police-made cages, being tear gassed, arrested, beaten? I need someone to explain to me why is the government and its long arm of the law disregarding the people's right to assemble peacefully?  Why are universities being allowed to attack students and others for evoking their constitutional rights? (read more, more, more, more, more, I think you get the jist)

Well the OWS are trying to drag the country into socialism some of you might say, although I disagree that is the fact, even if they were the First Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees them and all of us, the right to assemble peaceful.

To those of you that think the occupiers are trying to drag the great US into socialism I will say to you, that is a falsehood. They ARE trying to keep the banks and some corporations from dragging the country to fascism. They don't want corporations and banks to blend closely with the government so much they are actually writing the bills our congress signs into law. They are actually trying to STOP income redistribution. Something I would think anyone would agree with.

So you aren't feeling  the OWS and its movement, what about the press, do you think the first amendment that protects the press to report should be disregarded? In New York City there was a media blackout ordered by Mayor Bloomberg when he decided to to raid Zuccotti Park in the middle of the night (read more) and this is just one example of how the first amendment of the US Constitution is being disregarded as nothing more than a nuisance to big government and big corporations.

Yes I said it big government and big business are acting like the US Constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper that is a nuisance to their desires and should be thrown away. Is that the America so many fought for, spilled their blood for, and even died to protect?

So I ask you are we in a strange alien world where people are nothing more than pawns to be enslaved to corporations with the approval of the government? If we are in some strange alien world beamed there by unknown powers, we need to fight to get back to the home we all love, the home of freedom, a beacon of democracy for the entire planet to strive to achieve, a country we are once again proud to call home, don't you?

As most know by now I suffered a 'mini' stroke as result of my battle with Lupus and Unspoken Issues of course wasn't able to be aired. I was so worried that PNN would have no choice but to cancel Unspoken Issues and boy did PNN show me how much they care.

As soon as PNN team members saw me they all assured me my spot was still there when I was able to pick it back up. I couldn't believe the support and I will never ever remove my show from PNN, they have a heart and truly are a family that cares.

I want to thank everyone at PNN, but especially Gary Baumgarten, Rod Cleary, and Sylvia Lovejoy, and Dani, thank you so much for all the support, well wishes and love, you guys rock.

Unspoken Issues will make its return July 14th, 2011 make sure to turn in at PalTalk.com 7pm/EDT, the show will certainly rock.
